The best thing ever!

Forget all other acne treatments! This is THE ONLY kit you will ever need if you suffer from breakouts. I was never able to find anything that would treat cystic acne, but the buffering lotion is just amazing! Just remember to keep moisturising so the skin does not dry out.

My savior

I usually go to a VERY pricey dermie (in Paragon, won't mention names). Recently I ran out of my pimple gel, and was thinking that I'd try something new instead of spending another $300 bucks at the dermie. I was looking for something with salicyclic acid, which is what my pimple cream's active ingredient is. Mario Badescu came up, and since my mum is such a huge fan of their herbal serum, I decided to give their Drying Lotion a try. Forked out 80 bucks for the entire acne repair kit. Conclusion: Drying Lotion- I love this. Dried my forehead pimples overnight, and the application process is super FUN. Note that where areas of your face are a bit more sensitive (mine would be top of cheeks and temples) it might be a better idea to use more sparingly, as this really DRIES pimples (and skin) out. Drying cream- I don't really love this. In one case it made my pimple super inflamed and disgusting. It doesn't really conceal either. It's for cystic pimples though, which i don't have, so maybe i used it wrong. Buffering Lotion- The smell scares me. It's for huge clusters of pimples, which I don't have, but I did apply it to one blackhead on my cheek and it was less inflamed the next day.

mario badescu drying lotion is better than antibiotics from doc

i took both the oral and topical antibiotics prescribed from the doctor for about a week but they basically did nothing much to clear up my clogs and acne. i was very troubled by what i saw in the mirror. my skin is very oily and congested to begin with, and add to that, more pimples and acne. so i ordered this mario badescu kit cos the mario badescu drying lotion worked well for me in the past. i put on the mario badescu drying lotion over my huge acne spots at night and left the lotion on overnight. it didnt clear up the huge clogs overnight. but at the very least, it does help to minimize the size of the huge acne areas. i have to say that the effect from the mario badescu drying lotion is better than the topical and oral antibiotics prescribed from doctors. i have yet to try out the other 2 products in my mario badescu kit.. i shall update with another review after i try them out. by the way. i was given a sample size of the mario badescu cleanser, which i thought is a very nice gesture from Luxola. i will update with another review after i have tried this product out.

Not that effective for me- but it could be cause my pimples are really quite bad

I loved the drying lotion- it gives a tingling feeling after applying. I usually take that as an indication that my creams working. Pimples are less inflamed on the second day. Only problem is that i look ridiculous with the white spots all over my face. And im semi worried that im dirtying my bed (you have to apply this before you sleep) and when i wake up the white bits have all disappeared. I worry that its cause i rub it all over my pillow instead. Buffering lotion is very drying. I applied using my fingertips and i felt that my fingertips were drying up too. Consistency is a little weird as it was some sort of emulsion- you have to shake it well. I apply the drying cream before i apply my daily makeup. makes my face feel better as i feel like im not applying makeup directly and thus 'less likely to make my pimples worse'. Im really tanned- so this doesnt help in concealing at all. It makes it more obvious
